Made in Vermont from natural soapstone. These stones are nonpourous, and they don't give off any odor or taste. I'm sure these have been around for a while, but it's news to me. What a great way to cool your drink without watering it down or making it too cold. You can buy them here.

Free Booze
Good news to those who live in: New York City, Los Angeles, Miami, Honolulu, San Francisco, Chicago, and soon to be Austin. Myopenbar.com has weekly posts listing all the bars that are either: serving free alcohol, specials, cover charges, and special events.
If you are visiting any of these cities, I recommend you check up on this site before you go out. It's fun to go somewhere you've never been or weren't planning on going. This site will aid in the suggestion of a few places. Plus, it's free alcohol, c'mon.

Gourmet Jello Shots
I've never been into jello really. There just doesn't seem to be much of a benefit to eating the stuff.
The jello shots above are a step up from your run of the mill type. They are 'blueberry-martini shots' inspired by Bar Ninteen 12 in LA. They look great, and I wouldn't mind tasting them. If anyone makes a batch, you know how to reach me.
